Florence Nightingale is a data storytelling hero

In a world awash with data, Florence Nightingale provides us with an understanding of how to grab people’s attention, craft a story, and persuade audiences. Informed by her experiences in the Crimean War, her follow-on campaign to reform public health pioneered the use of data storytelling. RJ Andrews, author of the forthcoming Florence Nightingale: Mortality and Health Diagrams, will show new images of Nightingale’s work never seen by the public as he dives into the collaborative craft it took to produce it—and lessons it still teaches us today.
