Jane Laughton works at the Ontario Digital Service (ODS) where she is the Head of Talent. In her role, Jane is responsible for developing strategies to build and accelerate digital skills capacity both in the ODS, and across the Ontario Public Service. Jane is passionate about shaking up the approach to human resources and recruitment by focussing heavily on the employee, user experience from end to end.

Jane has worked for the Ontario Government for ten years. Prior to joining the Digital Service, Jane held progressively senior roles in the Treasury Board Secretariat, before becoming the Senior Manager of Special Projects in the Chief Administrative Officer’s Office. As Senior Manager, Jane managed enterprise-wide transformational and strategic initiatives and projects with partners across the public service.

Jane has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Guelph, specializing in Human Resources. She holds a Masters of Industrial Relations and Human Resources from the University of Toronto, and is a certified Lean Six Sigma White Belt.

Jane lives in Toronto with her husband. She is an avid floral arranger and loves cooking.
